I am the admin for a Windows 10 computer, the only user admin on this device – yet Origin will not properly uninstall.
By properly, I mean that I tried using the control panel to uninstall it however using the control panel to try to uninstall Origin did not remove the files, only remove Origin from the list of visible items on the Control Panel’s program list
Would someone mind walking me through this a bit?
Because this happened before with Steam – uninstalling Onedrive fixed that issue and I checked the control panel first thing, but as far as I can tell Onedrive hasn’t been reinstalled.
Sorry still trouble-shooting as I’m writing to try to provide significant info*

The reason I was trying to uninstall Origin is because I get this when trying to run Origin right now “Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.” – when I’m the admin (I’ve tried temporarily turning off the UAC to no avail).
I’ve tried the following advice from the support forums here:
[ going to ((C:/ProgramsX86/Origin) the only file that won’t budge, which is the Origin Application file)
properties>general (I’ve tried setting it to read-only, but apparently don’t have the appropriate permissions)
properties>security (it says “you must have Read permissions to view the properties of this object Click advance to continue”)
properties>security>advanced “Unable to display current owner” (<cannot change, says I don’t have the appropriate permissions for this object) ]
