AppXManifest.xml is missing!

I was trying to solve the issues with Cortana & Store by re-registering the apps using Power shell after clearing the store cache , but I encountered an error as follows ;

Add-AppxPackage : Cannot find path ‘C:\AppXManifest.xml’ because it does not exist.

 I was unable to solve the   Cortana Issueby any other means, whether by SFC , DISM or other troubleshooting methods. I have  Posted these issues on the community earlier but I was unable to find a solution!

Hi Nandu, 

 

 

Based on the details you have provided and the troubleshooting steps that you have performed, we suggest that you do a custom installation and check if there are any changes. Kindly refer to the Wiki Article created by Andre Da Costa entitle How To: Do a custom installation of Windows.
