Hi my pc has been crashing lately.
It started when I think it overheated as the graphics card, power supply and motherboard were all almost too hot to touch. After that crash It has been crashing after probably 10-30 minutes of booting, the crash is as if the power was flicked off everything just goes black and pressing the power button turns it on like it had been turned off. I ran memory diagnostics and checked my drive for errors and got nothing. After the restart from the memory diagnostic it seemed better as It was on for a couple hours while I watched a movie but then crashed again the next day. It has crashed twice when playing a game and once while watching youtube so I’m not sure if it is triggered when the cpu is working too hard. After the first crash it was definitely not an overheating problem.
My system specs are:
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Mother board: AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor, 3300 Mhz, 3 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s)
Graphics card: AMD Radeon R9 380x
Does anyone know what is going on?
Is it a windows problem or something else?
Is there any way I can fix it?
I’d really appreciate any help
Thank you for getting back to us. You can update this thread of any developments after performing the clean boot process.
In the event that you still experience your concern while on the clean boot environment, we'd recommend performing an in-place upgrade to revert the configuration of your device back to default as well as to fix broken system files. Performing this will maximize the software isolation process. To do this, you can perform the steps posted by Andre Da Costa on this link.
Note: This procedure aims to reinstall Windows 10 by overwriting the existing configuration with the default settings. Part of the article also indicate how you can maintain/keep all of your files. In the event that you'll still experience the same issue after completing the in-place upgrade, we'd recommend engaging the manufacturer of your device to look into its hardware aspect.
We look forward to an update on your concern.
