I am on Windows 7. I have family safety installed on the PC. I can log into microsoft fine. I keep getting a popup entitled windows live family safety and when I use what I think is my password, it says it is wrong. I have been through the two-step verification about 6 times now to reset my password and when the popup reappears, and I put the new password in, it says it is incorrect. I don’t understand.
Thank you for the response Cath.
If your password is incorrect when you're prompted to enter it on your Family Safety, click Password hint. If you can't remember your Family Safety password, uninstall the Family Safety program from the admin's computer and from every computer on which it was installed, and then reinstall it. To uninstall it kindly follow the steps below:
- Type "appwiz.cpl" without the quotation, and then press ENTER.
- Next to WindowsLiveOneCareFamilySafety, click Uninstall or Remove.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- When the FamilySafety program has been uninstalled, Restart your computer.
Let us know how it goes.Regards, Micah Bat
